Crown Lifting is the removal of the lower branches of the crown or reducing the weight of low limbs usually to lift the lower canopy away from roads, footpaths, & buildings.

Crown Thinning is good tree maintenance for any responsible tree owner.

The crown thinning process is usually carried out to increase wind permeation through the crown whilst improving light levels below.

Crown Thinning would also include the removal of any deadwood from the crown, along with any dying/crossing branches leaving a well-balanced branch structure.

Crown Reduction (also known as 'Tree Lopping') is usually carried out when a tree has outgrown its location i.e. to overhead services or buildings in some cases just to reduce the weight of the tree crown.

We carry out Crown Reduction work throughout the year, though avoiding early spring where possible as this can be detrimental to some species.
